Wirral's Local SEND Offer

SENDLO

The Wirral Local Offer, known as SENDLO, provides a one-stop shop for information and guidance for children and young people (aged 0–25) with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND), as well as their parents, carers, and the professionals who support them.

What SENDLO Provides

The platform is designed to make it easier for families to navigate the complex world of SEND. It brings together local services in one place, covering:

  • Education: Information on early years, mainstream schools, special provision, and post-16 training or employment.
  • Health & Social Care: Guidance on available therapies, mental health support, and social care services.
  • Activities & Support: A directory of "What’s On" locally, including inclusive clubs, sensory sessions, and support groups.
  • Advice: Clear explanations of the Graduated Approach, EHC Needs Assessments, and Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).

Key Support Services in Wirral

As part of the Local Offer, parents and carers in Wirral can also access:

  • Wirral SEND Partnership (SENDIASS): An impartial service providing free, legally-based advice and support regarding education, health, and social care.
  • The Family Toolbox: A broader resource for all Wirral families to find tools and support for everyday challenges.
