Children have the potential to become Reception-ready when families, early years providers and schools work together to support the development of children’s confidence, resilience and curiosity.

We are very excited to welcome your children to Townfield and start their school journey. To help support your children's development and help them transition into school, we have made a virtual classroom for you to explore together. We believe that school readiness is about more than just knowing letters and numbers — it's about helping children feel confident, curious, and excited to learn. We value the strong foundations built at home and in early years settings, and we work closely with families to support every child’s transition into school life. We have carefully created a transition package that we hope will ensure that all children are ready to flourish and enjoy their journey into education at Townfield Primary School.
