3S - English Enrichment - visit from Wirral Fox Rescue
Lesson: English
Class: 3S - Mrs Simmons Year: 2023 - 2024
In English this half term, we have been reading and writing about the book 'Fox' by Margaret Wild.
Today, we were lucky enough to have a visitor, Graham, from Wirral Fox Rescue, come in to talk to us all about foxes, their characteristics, appearance and how they are rescued. We looked at photographs of many of the different foxes they have rescued and rehabilitated recently, had a look through some night vision binoculars which help the people at the rescue to see the foxes when it is dark.
We also learned that a fox's favourite food is cake and that during autumn and as we approach winter, they need high sugar foods two so they can increase their glucose levels which helps them to survive.
