The children have thoroughly enjoyed delving into the fascinating world of the Beatles during their History lessons. The children have eagerly uncovering new facts about the iconic band, creating vibrant and informative posters, showcasing their newfound knowledge.

Congratuations to Jack for winning the TT Rockstars trophy in Class 2B. Every week he has shown commitment to his home learning and has achieved a high score during the tournament!

We were revising for our exams in lots of fun ways. Today we completed a SPaG treasure hunt around the playground.

We have been tasting soups for our DT topic. We tasted Laksa soup, chicken noodle soup, Gazpacho, Minestrone, Oxtail and chunky vegetable soup. Our favourite was Oxtail and our least favourite was Laksa as it was quite tangy and spicy.
Nursery - Moving to Music (EAD/Music)

Nursery have been reading 'Giraffes Can't Dance'. We listened to all the different styles of music mentioned in the book including Rock n' Roll, Waltz and Tango. Our favourite was the Cha, Cha, Cha. The children were making marks in time with the music showing if they thought it was slow and wavy or fast and spiky. Well done Nursery!

In computing, we are learning how to use a keyboard. We used the printout of a keyboard to circle the letters that we have in our name.

In our woodland learning sessions and class lessons, we are learning to use mindfulness techniques. They help us to calm down, refocus and they help us with our mental health. In 1D we have used 3 animals to help us - a sloth, a puffer fish and a crab.
The children are so good at it I'm sure they would love to show you!

We are creating our own school newsletter this half term using the 'Pages' app on the iPads. Last week, we chose the name we wanted to call our school and decided on how the main title of the newsletter would look, thinking about colour, font, font sizing and background colour. This week, we added a photo and some information about what's happening in our school.

This week in French we were revising our knowledge of numbers to 40 and beginning to learn to giv3 opinions about sports we like and dislike 🇫🇷

As part of Y4's History enrichment, we had a visit from a Viking character, who set up workshops including role play of Viking battles and sagas and looking at real Viking artefacts! Other activities including myth writing, using the Viking alphabet, and researching the longboats and different Viking gods. To finish, the two classes completed a quiz to summarise their learning.

The children have been learning about what the word 'hazardous' means. They had to sort objects under the categories 'hazardous' and 'non hazardous'.

In maths we have been learning all about money! During this lesson, the children had to show equal amounts of money. They really enjoyed using the coins!

The children love their woodland learning sessions. They are able to explore the natural world and develop their physical skills using the different equipment out there.

Yesterday, we had a Viking Workshop in school. The children absolutely loved it, whilst gaining and consolidating their historical knowledge about Vikings. The children got the chance to find out lots of information, take part in role plays, explore different artefacts and completed a quiz.

As part of our topic 'Watch Me Grow' we have been learning the parts of a plant as well as its life cycle. The children have been great at making and drawing observations as well as designing their own plants.
