Nursery have really enjoyed exploring Autumn! We have been looking at how the trees and leaves are changing colours and the children have been on Autumn walks to collect leaves, conkers, acorns and pine cones. We have also been reading 'Owl Babies' and learning about nocturnal animals. The children have enjoyed painting their own owls and making owls in the playdough area.

This week the children have been learning about different celebrations. We have been making our own party hats, making our own wrapping paper, designing cakes in the playdough area and role playing different celebrations in our home corner!

This week in maths we have been learning about patterns. We had a go at continuing an AB pattern and then created our own patterns too!
Food Bank Charles Thompson Mission Charity

We have been blown away by the amount of food that the families of Townfield have generously donated to Charles Thompson Mission charity! When the donations were collected on Tuesday, the volunteers from the charity said that our school had provided the biggest harvest that they had received this year! We thank you all very much for your ongoing support and generosity. You have helped so many people in need this harvest season.

This week we had our first visit from Mabel the dog 🐶 We learnt all about being kind to dogs and how we need to ask for permission before we stroke the dog.

This week in Maths we have continued our 'colours' topic. We have explored pink, purple and green. We also learnt how to make the colour pink by mixing red and white together. '
